Why NDAA Section 889 Compliance Is Mandatory for Government
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 889 prohibits federal agencies from procuring or using telecommunications equipment or services from Huawei, ZTE, Hytera, Hikvision, Dahua, and their subsidiaries or affiliates — regardless of the contracting method or purchase price. This ban extends to any contractor, subcontractor, or grant recipient that operates on behalf of a federal agency.
