The 2GIG SMKT100-345 combines smoke, heat, and freeze detection in one wireless device reporting to the 2GIG panel on 345 MHz. Its detection algorithm is tuned to recognise smoke from modern synthetic materials — which burn and smoulder differently from the wood and cotton that older sensors were calibrated against — while filtering out everyday cooking to cut nuisance alarms.
