The Barracuda Web Security Gateway combines web filtering, malware and spyware protection, application control and social-media monitoring in one appliance, with user and group based policies, reporting and support for remote users.
This is the cold-spare version of the appliance: a replacement unit kept on hand to swap in quickly for an existing, licensed deployment. It is intended for customers who already run the primary unit. Barracuda subscriptions for this appliance, such as Energize Updates and Instant Replacement, are sold separately.
