The Weldex WDM-1600C is a 16-channel color duplex multiplexer built to combine multiple analog camera feeds into a single DVR or VCR recording while still allowing simultaneous live monitoring. Its duplex design lets an operator record and play back footage at the same time rather than stopping one to do the other, with full/quad/PIP/multi-screen display modes, 16-channel motion detection with alarm output, a built-in time/date/title generator, and automatic camera-loss detection. It mounts in a standard 19" rack and supports both NTSC and PAL formats, making it a central piece of a multi-camera analog surveillance installation rather than a single-camera accessory.
