The Williams AV WF SY5 PRO-12 is part of the WaveCAST Wi-Fi audio platform, a DSP-based system that streams assistive-listening or program audio to listeners' own smartphones over a dedicated Wi-Fi network with ultra-low latency. Listeners use the free WaveCAST app (iOS/Android) to pick up the stream on their own device instead of carrying a dedicated receiver, and multiple WaveCAST transmitters can be linked for multi-channel distribution. It's well suited to gyms, bars, worship spaces, and other large or multi-zone venues where BYOD audio streaming is preferable to handing out hardware receivers.
